Sculptures, splashing, shaved ice and swimming

One could spend a long time in St. Louis before boredom set in.  We have one day left in this city and so decided to check out a sculpture and splash park in downtown called City Garden.  Dacen was in a funk and really didn’t want to do anything but once we got to the park and he saw the splash area he cheered right up and had a lot of fun with the other two.  It was super hot but we stayed cool in the shade of the trees and/or splashing in the pools and fountains.  After a picnic lunch we explored all of the art pieces on display in the park.  They were all fun and unique so we posed and took pictures with most of them.

There was a candy shop that got high marks so we drove to the neighborhood where the candy shop was to check it out.  It was teeny tiny place but had lots of fun and unique candy.  They also advertised shaved ice which sounded super good given the heat outside.  So we all got ourselves an icy cold treat.

Back home we went to the pool again where I worked and the kids played.  It was a pretty simple and low key day but one that was fun.

Ahhhhh

Hello Guys!!!!! (this is Tessa) We’ve missed you but we know you guys are having such an exciting experience! I have a question, and I want an answer from each of you, What destination has had the most beautiful scenery? Also, Where has been your favorite; most fun place you’ve visited?

Looking forward to seeing you guys at the wedding!!

Hi Tessa. You ask a very good question but a very hard one to answer. It’s like asking if I have a favorite child. Every place we visited had its own sort of beauty whether it was desert, beach, swamp, city, forest, mountains or plains. And we have had loads of fun in every place as well. The trip is more about the experience than the scenery….it is more about the people I get to travel with than the places we have gone. My advise to my young nieces and nephews is this: travel. There is so much to see and do and experience and learn in our country let alone the rest of the world. Oh, my other piece of advise would be to at least consider an RV or tiny house when you start looking for a place of your own!
