In a way it was, but it was more like a sanctuary for injured animals that wouldn&#8217;t survive in the wild. We saw a ton of fish, lots of alligators, a hippo named Lucifer or Lu, a Panther named Yuma, an otter without a daughter, a\u00a0bunch of snakes, and a whole lotta birds. We learned a lot. I&#8217;m not going to give you all of the facts because there were a lot of them. Opossums have opposable thumbs. If you roll an alligator onto its back it&#8217;ll pass out because it can&#8217;t get enough oxygen. Adult opossums cannot hang from their tails. they&#8217;re too heavy, though the young-uns can. On another note I&#8217;ve taken a liking to haikus. Here are some related to the animals we saw at the whatsitsname state park.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hippopotamus<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It just pooped on my friend.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Now he smells real bad.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZzCw7e2z7TU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The great Manatee<\/p>\n<p>Oh no it just peed on me.<\/p>\n<p>Now we are both wet.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Yuma the Puma<\/p>\n<p>He just ate my face right off.<\/p>\n<p>I died&#8230; But I lived!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>You own a Hippo?<\/p>\n<p>You are braver than I thought!<\/p>\n<p>I bet it smells bad.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The turtle moves slow.<\/p>\n<p>Its trying to run away.<\/p>\n<p>The killer goes <em><strong>CHOMP!!!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The river otter<\/p>\n<p>It is swimming back and forth.<\/p>\n<p>Will it ever stop?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The pink flamingos<\/p>\n<p>They eat shrimp for every meal.<\/p>\n<p>Christmas decor too.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The snakes slither &#8217;round<\/p>\n<p>Half are poisonous half aren&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>Flip a coin! I&#8217;m bit!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Look at all the birds!<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t dare look up. They&#8217;ll bomb you.<\/p>\n<p>The bombs sure taste bad.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Dear, I killed a deer.<\/p>\n<p>This is bad. I&#8217;m in trouble.<\/p>\n<p>Oh well, we&#8217;ll eat it.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>We&#8217;re almost leaving.<\/p>\n<p>Oh please can&#8217;t we stay longer?<\/p>\n<p>This day was so great.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Now I have finished<\/p>\n<p>I hope these haikus weren&#8217;t too bad.<\/p>\n<p>Signing off, Caden \u00a0&lt;&#8212;-hee hee!
