they love the governor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My niece (also my God daughter) is attending Samford University in Birmingham&#8230;they love the Governor (come on, sing it with me&#8230;.&#8221;Ooooo oooooo oooo&#8221;). \u00a0So we decided we were close enough to make a day trip up to see her. \u00a0Its a 4 hour drive from Mobile but Steph did some of the driving so I could get some work done. \u00a0We met Sid on campus and she gave us a tour of her dorm, her room and campus. \u00a0I still remember holding her when she was days old and now she&#8217;s a college student&#8230;wow!! \u00a0After a quick bite at Subway we went to the McWane Science Center on a suggestion from both Sid and her dad&#8230;plus our Denver Museum of Nature and Science pass got us free admission. \u00a0Sweet!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The museum was really cool with lots of great interactive stations. \u00a0There was one that tested your reflexes and there was a grey bearded bald guy who had the record at 0.141 seconds&#8230;not that anyone was keeping score. \u00a0For a Sunday it was not too busy and we never felt like we were in anybody&#8217;s way or that anyone was in our way. \u00a0I&#8217;m sure the kids will do a post on some of the details so I won&#8217;t. \u00a0Afterwards we went out for burgers at MugShots which was super busy so we got it to go and just ate out by a fountain in &#8220;Uptown&#8221; Birmingham.<\/p>\n<p>Brielle was so happy to have Sidney with us&#8230;she commented that Sidney made us even &#8220;3 boys and 3 girls&#8221;! \u00a0 It was really great to see Sidney the college student and I&#8217;m thankful that she took time out of her weekend to spend with us. \u00a0Thanks Sid&#8230;.we\u00a0are very proud
